Farewell, 2017…

And so, we prepare to bid a fond farewell to 2017. Where did the year go? Before we shutdown for Christmas, we thought we’d take a quick look back at what we’ve been up to at Ammatti over the last few months.

December has been c-c-c-cold. November exploded to life with fireworks and climaxed with the big bang of a royal wedding announcement – not forgetting all the ‘excitement’ of the Budget in between. Ophelia and Brian made for a stormy October. Through it all, the Ammatti team were beavering away delivering professional marketing services, engaging copy writing and beautiful communications for our clients.

Many described the 2017 Budget as a damp squib compared to the pyrotechnics of recent financial statements from No. 11. However, even without any major policy updates, many of our clients still need to quickly and effectively communicate any relevant changes.

After an evening of intense dissecting, distilling and designing, we created this whizzy Autumn Budget infographic for a firm of chartered financial planners (click on the image to see a larger version).

Infographics are a fantastic way to communicate complex information in a visually appealing format that is easy to understand and great to share.

While the Chancellor forecast tougher economic challenges for the nation, the Financial Conduct Authority highlighted the financial vulnerability of individuals in the UK. Their report ‘Understanding the financial lives of UK adults’, published in October, found that nearly a quarter of us have little or no confidence in managing our money. Our client, Lorica, specialises in providing workplace financial education and wellbeing services to directly address this issue. We’ve been working with them to both create clear, engaging employee communications for their clients, and promote their services to their target market. We created the advert below for use in a leading HR magazine, as well as via social media (click on the image to see a larger version).

It’s also been a busy few months for us on the pensions communications front. We’re excited to have recently started working with a large defined benefit (DB) scheme, producing all of their member communications – starting with their latest newsletter, which was sent to several thousand members in December. Alongside that, we’ve also written and designed a member booklet for a large defined contribution (DC) scheme we’ve worked with for a number of years, and created a member newsletter template for a firm of actuaries and pension administrators.

Webinars can be a highly effective marketing tool as they provide a simple, low-cost and easily accessible method of interacting live with a large audience. We recently worked with one of our clients to help them run an investment webinar; our involvement included writing and designing the slides and managing the invitation process. This included delivery of an email and social media programme with both pre- and post-webinar communications.

With ongoing client support activities - such as copy writing, managing websites, databases and social media - also keeping us busy, we’re proud to say it’s been a glowing few months for the Ammatti team.
