Tom joined the Ammatti team in May 2017, arriving with 20 years of wide-ranging marketing experience.
He started his career at Accent, a marketing research agency in Bristol. He then took up a client-side research role with Essilor – the world’s largest spectacle manufacturer. At Essilor, Tom expanded his marketing skill set, firstly managing the development of the company’s business-to-business CRM systems, then launching a telemarketing function and a customer loyalty programme.
Tom’s desire to enhance his CRM expertise attracted him to the financial services sector, and in 2008 he joined AXA, where he worked for five years in their life insurance business. During this time he moved into a marketing communications planning role, working with key corporate partners including Santander and Nationwide.
This naturally led Tom into banking, where he enjoyed four years working in marketing strategy roles, developing new propositions, channels and campaigns for Lloyds Banking Group. It was here that he was also able to enhance his client relationship management and project management skills.
Outside of work, Tom’s hobbies tend to mirror that of his two young children – so it’s currently lego and ballet! Although, occasionally, he does get to play or watch a bit of football or cricket.
